Other Pains
Contractures
Contractures are “knots” in the muscles; they can be a result of constant use, overuse or trauma.
They shorten the length of the muscle.
Sprains
A sprain is the pathological elongation of a ligament or tendon, usually caused by trauma.
Pain of Nervous
This pain comes from a nervous system problem caused by nerve damage.
Common examples are post-herpetic pain, trigeminal neuralgia,
carpal tunnel syndrome or post-herpetic pain.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is known as the wearing down of cartilage. This leads to “rubbing” of the bones,
pathological movement and instability of the joint.
Post Surgical
Consequence of surgery of any type, due to adhesions, scars,
damage and compression of local nerves.
Scars
They are a consequence of wounds to the skin and/or soft tissues (muscles, fat, etc.).
Adhesions can develop that prevent the body from functioning properly
and cause pain and/or limitation of movement.
Hypermobility
Generally it is family or hereditary, the joints are more mobile than usual, the muscles have more elongation.
We can see it in contortionists, and acrobats.
