Hand Pain

What is hand pain?

The hand is made up of small bones, which allow delicate movements. These joints can cause pain when they are damaged. The most common cause is osteoarthritis of the thumb (called Rizarthrosis). Fracture of the scaphoid bone is common after trauma or falls.

Symptoms

Rhizarthrosis: 

  • Decreased hand strength pain when straining the joint 

  • local edema 

  • joint deformation 


Scaphoid fracture: 

  • Pain when moving hand

  • hematoma 

  • tenderness when rotating the wrist
